[ there's a lot of typing and not typing before he actually sends a message. ]

I don't know how to help him. He eats and sleeps and talks to me when I ask questions, but it's like he's a robot, he's on auto-pilot and I don't know how to bring him back.

[ henry tries his best not to be even a little bit irritated. he knows the cops have a history that andy is a relatively new addition to, and that they were engaged, and that of course he has every right to be devastated considering the loss. and he knows that andy isn't being ignored, and that ben probably loves him too, and that grieving is a process.

but it still sucks. he'd kinda feel like chopped liver if one of them just shut down on him like that. ]

Um. Yeah. It was just this week it happened? Maybe just keep him company... Has he made any other friends in the city?

Not close ones, I don't think? He's... he's so difficult in some ways. Like, he likes people but he could live in a cabin in the frozen tundra by himself and he'd be fine too.

It just sounds like he's holding in a lot of stuff, kind of a lot to handle without a bigger support system, you know?

[ not that henry needs to talk about or process his feelings, but he hears it's good for other people. ]

Like what if you need a break?

[ he's not going to entertain the thought of andy leaving, too. ]

I'm getting breaks. We work opposite schedules, he works mornings and I work nights. We have lunch or dinner together and spend a day a week hanging out.

But still, kinda feels like I lost both of them.

Okay. Good. Not to be protective or whatever, but I know taking on other people's pain while you try to fix them is your thing. I feel like I wouldn't be a very good Henry if I didn't check.

Still I... I know what you mean, I think. I wish I could help.

I'm not naturally gifted at emotional support. I suck at it, actually.

But I'm doing my best.

[ henry doesn't really have an opinion about him, except that vampires kinda freak him out a little. ]

So. How did your talk with Gansey go? Have you learnt all you need to know about Welsh mythology?

Henry, please. One can never know ENOUGH about Welsh mythology.

You have a moral obligation to tell me if you talked about me at all and if so, tell me what you said.

You'd only tell someone who needed immediate help or someone you trust with your life.
